ODONATA - Ranging from bright scarlet to sky blue, from electric green to ivory with smoky gray wings DRAGONFLIES are ancient beings. During most of their lifetime (1-6 yrs), they live underwater and emerge up to the rocky edges of their lakes and water places to mature overnight into flying Dragonflies. All animals being a part of nature’s life cycles have an important role in the balance of American Indian life. From the smallest insect to the mighty buffalo, they all receive the same respect.
